This training module is for Street Pastor volunteers, community leaders, youth workers and all who work in community settings.

Just like Street Pastor volunteers, if you work in a community setting the streets of our towns and cities are places of opportunity to help and care for people. Street Pastors volunteers and all those who work in the community have the potential to soften and absorb the aggression that dominates many communities. You can be bridge-builders between isolated or vulnerable individuals and the rest of the community.

Learning Outcomes

• 1. To grasp the bigger picture of the systemic issues that affect individuals and their localities
• 1. Know their community from the pavement up and from the council offices down
• 2. Learn how to build relationships and have an early awareness of local issues
• 3. Learn how to be credible in our interactions with political structures
