Do you or will you soon be working / volunteering in a role that involves coming into contact with children or adults at risk?  Our Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk course is for anyone who works with children or adults at risk. All children and adults at risk, whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, language, racial origin, socio-economic status, religious belief and or sexual identity have the right to protection from abuse.

Learning Outcomes

  • 1. Recognise your responsibility for safeguarding children and adults at risk
  • 1. Examine the main categories of abuse and neglect for children as well as the different types of adult abuse
  • 2. Gain an understanding of the signs and symptoms of abuse and neglect for children and adults at risk
  • 3. Learn how to respond to allegations of misconduct or abuse of children and or adults at risk in line with the policy and procedures

1. Safeguarding Children & Adults at Risk (- This lesson will stream via Zoom.

    09.00-13.30

In this module you will recognise your responsibility for safeguarding children & adults at risk, examine the main categories for abuse and neglect and learn how to respond to allegations of misconduct or abuse.
