Description 

The Street Pastors Training Course (Reduced Bundle) EXCLUDES the Police and Knowing Your Community modules from Live training as we understand some coordinators like to do these modules offline in a face-to-face group setting.

This training course presents the ethos of the Street Pastors Initiative, and contains resources to prepare teams for appropriate and relevant relationships on the streets. It aims to bring together the challenges of a Christian responsibility for our neighbourhoods with the specialised knowledge vital to participation in twenty-first century culture.

Throughout the training, an open attitude is strongly encouraged. Emphasis is placed on each individual analysing his or her preconceived ideas and prejudices. Recognising these and letting go of them will facilitate the learning process and develop the ability to engage with new situations and contexts.

The Street Pastors Initiative is designed to give Christians the tools to be effective expressions of God’s love, and through the dedication of time and love, become bridgebuilders in today’s society.

The course consists of 8 subjects and two practical elements, referred to as supervised patrols.

*We understand some coordinators like to do the Police and Knowing Your Community modules offline in a face-to-face group setting and so this is a reduced module bundle that is done online consisting of 6 core modules. However, as the Police and Knowing your Community modules are still mandatory in order to pass the whole Street Pastor Training Course, trainees will be required to give ‘secret answers’ to these modules online to prove their completion of the module offline. This is necessary so that the system knows to generate a certificate of completion for the whole course.
