Ascension Trust Training

Prayer is fundamental to the success of every ministry and endeavour from the church.  Therefore, all the initiatives of Ascension Trust, including Street Pastors, need praying people as their volunteers.  Prayer is a core activity.   The Prayer training is to encourage volunteers to pray with a fresh understanding and appreciation of how they can enhance the work they do by praying in various ways with various people.

 Learning Outcomes

• 1. To encourage Street Pastors to pray, listen and appreciate the impact of prayer; to develop a culture of prayer walking.
• 2. To know the importance of praying together and to consider ‘diversity’ in the context of the Street pastor teams and how individuals contribute to it.
• 3. To know how to pray for others on the street appropriately. 
• 4. To consider the areas where street pastors patrol and how to pray in relation to these.

Curriculum
